Koch Goma HC III Benefits from free UPDF Medical Services

Today 3rd February 2019, UPDF Medical team led by Maj Dr.Jennifer Alanyo and the UPDF camped in Nwoya where a free medical camp was conducted.

There was massive turn up of patients at the Health center to receive free medical services ushered in by the UPDF to mark the 38th Tarehe Sita Anniversary Celebrations.

Meanwhile the UPDF Engineering Brigade led by WOII Apire David is renovating Kachogoma Health Center III, while the Medical team is engaged in giving free eye and dental services, safe male circumcision, general treatment including giving basic care to all out-patients in routine out- patient care from all elements.

Dr Jennifer applauded the locals of Nwoya District for the big turn.  She applauded the community leaders of Acholi Sub-Region for their mobilization skills that have ensured that the Acholi people get free medical treatment from the government.

According  to WOII John Bosco, UPDF is constructing the ceiling board which is of good quality and will cover 18 hospital rooms, general painting from the OPD room, re-construct the verandah, replace the broken glasses on the windows and doors, replace all the locks on all the doors. And most importantly there are constructing a waiting shed which is 8/5 meters.

The Chairperson LC III Mr.John Bosco Okulu was thankful for the gesture UPDF has displayed towards the people of Acholi Sub-Region, according to him, this is the first time witnessing UPDF visiting to their Region and work hand in hand with the Local leaders and giving treatment to the Community.

“Some people thought UPDF was only fighters, to protect our country but now they also save and treat lives”.  He further urged  UPDF to continue with the good spirit of saving lives all over the country.

The 34th Tarehesita Civil-military activities are conducted under the Theme; Consolidating peace and prosperity, and its against the theme that the UPDF engages in Civil-Military activities.
