President Museveni Promotes 7 Senior Police Officers to AIGP
President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has elevated seven senior officers in the Uganda Police Force to the rank of Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIGP), the third highest rank within the force.
The top ranks are Inspector General of Police IGP and Deputy Inspector General of Police DIGP.
The promotions reflect a significant restructuring and enhancement of leadership within the police service.
According to a statement from Police Spokesperson Assistant Commissioner Kituuma Rusoke, the following officers have been promoted:
AIGP Kafeero Moses – now Director of Human Resource Development
AIGP Bamunoba Ubaldo – now Director of Chief Political Commissariat
AIGP Mwesigwa Frank – now Director of Operations
AIGP Wasswa David – now Director of Counter Terrorism
AIGP Namutebi Hadijah – now Director of Research, Planning, and Development
AIGP Kataratambi Charles – now Director of Human Rights and Legal Services
AIGP Baryamusaki Felix – now Director of IT
AIGP Kafeero previously also worked in various departments of police including; KMP Commander, Commander Kabalye Police Training School and police senior Command and staff college in Bwebajja among others.
Kituuma Rusoke announced that these promotions are effective immediately, marking a pivotal moment in the ongoing reforms and professional development within the police force.
The newly promoted officers will now assume their respective roles with increased responsibilities and authority.
