Kyabazinga Hosts King Mswati III At Igenge Royal Palace

Kyabazinga of Busoga His Majesty Gabula Nadiope IV hosted King Mswati III the Ingwenyama (King) of Eswatini and head of Swazi royal family, at his Igenge Royal Palace, Bugembe in Jinja City.

King Mswati III, while accompanied by his wife Queen Inkhoutaki Make La Mashwama was received today at the Igenge Palace by Kyabazinga who was also in company of his wife and Inhebantu of Busoga, Jovial Mutesi.

The Royal couple was led by the Kyabazinga and Inhebantu inside the Igenge Palace and he (Kyabazinga) showed them historical photos of the past Kings of Busoga and his grandparents, which were pinned on the wall.

King Mswati III was also in company of Prince Lindanikosi Dlamini and Prince Sicalo Dlamini, Princess Lindiwe Dlamini, Eswatini Minister of Foreign Affairs Pholile Shakantu, Prince Sibusani Dlamini and Chief Inkosi Maloyi Mamba.

While in the Palace, King Mswati III, clad in Eswati traditional attire signed in a royal visitor’s book and later was ushered towards the dining area for a luncheon.

In a brief meeting with the Kyabazinga King Mswati III said “thank you your Majesty for honouring my invitation and visited me in Eswatini. I look forward to invite you again because the door of my Kingdom is open.”

The Kyabazinga nodded in acceptance of the and also thanked King Mswati for hosting him and his delegation in Eswatini.

Both Kings said they look forward to developing their Kingdoms and bonding their relationship.

Prior to King Mswati’s visit, in the morning, Busoga Kingdom’s 2nd Deputy Prime Minister Owek. Alhaji Osman Ahmed Noor explained to Press that this was an exchange visit happening between the two Kings aimed at strengthening bilateral ties of their Kingdoms.

Alhaj Osman said that two weeks ago the King Mswati invited the Kyabazinga and his delegation on a visit to Eswatini where they discussed issues of development in various sectors which include promotion of Tourism, Health, Education and Industrial development.

Before visiting the Kyabazinga at the Palace, King Mswati visited the Kiira Motors EV plant at Mutai Industrial area.

Present at the event were First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of East African Community Affairs Rebecca Alitwala Kadaga, Minister for Presidency Milly Babirye Babalanda, Minister of General Duties in the Office of the Prime Minister Justin Lumumba Kasule, Minister of Works and Transport Gen. Katumba Wamika and Minister of State in the Office of the Vice President Diana Mutasingwa.

Others include Parents of Inhebantu Stanley Bayoole and Rebecca Bayoole, the Honorary Consul of Eswatini in Uganda Quillino Bamwine, Busoga Kingdom’s Prime Minister Dr. Joseph Muvawala, Busoga Kingdom’s 2nd deputy Prime Minister Prof. Dr. Mohammed Lubega Kisambira, Busoga Ministers and Royal Chiefs led by Issabalangira of Busoga Samuel Zirabamuzale Menhya among others.
