Brig Gen Michael Kabango, Chief of Staff – Land Force, presided over the pass-out ceremony of junior officers who completed the Post-Cadet Ideological Course Intake 8/24 at the Oliver Reginald Tambo Leadership School and Pan African Centre of Excellence (ORTLS-PACEX) in Nakaseke District.

In his address, Brig Gen Kabango emphasised the significance of ideological training in fostering individual discipline and understanding the country’s history and future.

He urged the officers to apply the knowledge and skills acquired during the course, which will guide them in their future deployments. He also cautioned them against engaging in corrupt practices.

Brig Gen Bonny Wolimbwa, Commandant of the Basic Military Training School in Kaweweta, encouraged the officers to take a keen interest in their duties.

Col Justus Rukundo, Commandant of ORTLS-PACEX, commended the officers for their exemplary discipline and reminded them to prioritise their health to achieve success.

Earlier, the Chief of Staff – Land Force inspected ongoing infrastructure development projects at the school.

The ceremony was attended by senior officers of the Uganda Peoples’ Defence Forces (UPDF).
