ISO Captures Data on Over 2,700 PDM Beneficiaries in Luuka District

The Internal Security Organization (ISO) has successfully captured data on 2725 Parish Development Model (PDM) beneficiaries in Luuka District.

This follows the launch of the data capture exercise for all PDM beneficiaries in all parishes across the country, which took place on May 28, 2024, with a training of the Gombolola Intelligence Security Officers (GISOs) at the Office of the RDC in Luuka District.

According to statistics from the Zaidi App, an ISO-developed system for collecting PDM data, 2725 of the 6919 beneficiaries in Luuka district have been captured in 7 days.

Data capture will be rolled out on June 10, 2024, with training GISOs and acquiring data in all villages in the country on June 11 and 12.

ISO officials comfirmed that by July 10, 2024, they will have captured data on the two batches of PDM funds that were released in FY 21/22 and FY 22/23.

“We shall keep capturing beneficiaries’ data with the continued release of PDM funds in Financial Year 23/24 and the years to follow,” officials from the Internal Security Organization emphasized.

The data required seeks to fulfill the 6th pillar of PDM, the Parish-Based Management Information System (PDMIS).

The Zaidi App has been developed by ISO to enhance transparency and data collection, capture beneficiary information (PDM businesses and physical addresses), and create a reliable database for future government planning and monitoring of PDM projects.

The GISOs will be conducting the data capture exercise on PDM beneficiaries in all villages across the country.
