Witch Doctor Arrested in Suspected Ritual Sacrifice of Two Children

Police have arrested a witch doctor and his accomplice over the death of two minors in Kasega parish, Kapeke sub-county, Kiboga district, on April 4, 2024.
The suspects have been identified as Sulaiman Sentongo, 32, a resident of Kirinda village, Kasega parish, and Namuleme Maureen, 41, residing in Kisingiri cell, Namiremebe Bakuli ward, Rubaga division, Kampala.
Racheal Kawala, the Wamala Regional Police Spokesperson reveals that they tracked down Sentongo, and his accomplice Namuleme Maureen. Sentongo was netted in Kireka, Kampala, on Friday night. Naluleme is alleged to have facilitated his escape from the scene of crime on April 4, 2024.
Kawala explains that on April 3, 2024, at 10:00 PM, two young children, Nantongo Sylvia (5) and Nakasumba Esther (2), were reported missing.
However, their torsos were discovered the following day in Kirinda village, Kasega parish, and upon suspicion of ritual sacrifice, police raided the residence of Sentongo. But he had already fled into hiding. Kawala further reveals that intelligence information led to his arrest in Kireka.
She says both suspects are currently in custody at Kiboga CPS for interrogation, Another suspect in Kiboga was also arrested marking a total of three arrests in connection with the case.
