MP John Lematia Punches DSTV Technician Over Woman Lover

So, there’s some drama unfolding of an alleged fist fight between John Lematia, the Member of Parliament for Ayivu West Constituency, and a man named James Ariko, who works as a DSTV technician.

It all went down at Dream Land Hotel on Easter Sunday, right along the Arua-Nebbi highway.

It is alleged that both Lematia and Ariko have been romantically involved with one Faith Eyotaru, who works as a relationship officer at Victoria University in Kampala.

The chaos started when Lematia and Eyotaru arrived at the hotel for a swim, where Ariko was installing DSTV. Ariko got upset seeing Eyotaru with Lematia.

Ariko initiated a verbal altercation, arguing that Eyotaru, allegedly 25 years old, is his woman and has no business getting involved with an elderly man and leader in society. It is further alleged that both men claimed a solid connection with her, with the MP asserting that he was even courting her. The argument escalated into a physical fight after the MP reportedly jumped out of his car and punched Ariko. This continued until hotel staff intervened to break it up.

Josephine Angucia, the police spokesperson for the West Nile Region, confirmed that the whole thing went down around 3:00 pm on Sunday.

After the brawl, both Ariko and Lematia went to the Arua City Central Police Division to file reports. The police then sent them over to the Arua District police headquarters at Odumi in Vurra to sort things out. Angucia mentioned that when the police arrived at the hotel, both guys had already gone to report the incident at the Central Division.

Angucia says that Eyotaru used to be with Ariko, but they broke up last year. Then, she got involved with Lematia, who apparently helped her land that job at Victoria University. Eyotaru herself confirmed to the police that she’s now with Lematia.

When the media tried to reach out to Lematia for his side of the story, he said he couldn’t talk because he was busy at some event in Adumi.
