Five Suspects Remanded Over Death of Ndiga Clan Head

Police have revealed that a total of five suspects accused of murdering the clan head of Ndiga clan, Engineer Daniel Bbosa, have been presented in court and subsequently remanded.

Engineer Bbosa was killed on February 25th, 2024, at Kikandwa village in Lungujja-Rubaga Division, Kampala District, by gunmen riding on a motorcycle.

During a press briefing on Monday, Fred Enanga, the Uganda Police spokesperson, stated that the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) at Kampala Metropolitan Police (KMP) handed over the suspects for prosecution.

Enanga identified the suspects as Lujja Noah, Nakiguli Harriet, Nakabale Joseph, Mayanja Ezra, and Naluwenda Milly, who are facing murder charges. They appeared before the magistrate’s court last week and were remanded to Luzira government prison until April 4, 2024.

The presiding Chief Magistrate, Adam’s Byarugaba, declined to grant them a plea taking as their case is capital in nature.

Enanga, however, said efforts are still underway to capture the mastermind behind the tragic attack on Engineer Bbossa, Lujja Bbosa Tabula, who remains on the run. He reiterated that a bounty offer of Ugx 10 million for any credible information leading to his apprehension is still available.

“The CID Headquarters, reachable at 0741111333, encourages individuals with pertinent details to come forward, ensuring confidentiality and cooperation,” said Enanga.
