UACE 2023 Exam Results Set for Release on Thursday

In an eagerly awaited event, the First Lady and Minister of Education and Sports, Janet Museveni, is set to unveil the results of the Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) examinations for the year 2023.

According to an official statement by the Uganda National Examinations Board(UACE),the senior six results will be announced at State House Nakasero at 11 am on Thursday March 07, 2024.

Last year’s examination saw a significant rise in the number of candidates, with a total of 119,579 individuals registering to sit for the exams, compared to 97,889 in the previous year.

The examination period spanned from November 10 to December 1, 2023. Of the 110,569 candidates who registered for the 2023 examinations, 43 percent were female, totaling 47,227, while males constituted 57 percent, amounting to 63,342.

The UACE exams play a crucial role in preparing students for entry into university, serving as a milestone in their academic journey.

Following the announcement, the results will be accessible through various channels. Centers and schools will upload the results onto their respective portals, allowing heads of centers to download them.

Additionally, hard copies of the results will be made available at the UNEB Ntinda offices once conditions permit, with notifications sent to centers accordingly.

However, persons interested in accessing the results of specific candidates can do so via SMS. By navigating to the Message Menu on their mobile phones, they can type ‘UACE’, leave a space, and input the candidate’s correct index number (e.g., Uo000/501), sending it to 6600.
