Pakistan Envoy, Deputy Speaker Discuss Bilateral Cooperation
The High Commissioner of Pakistan in Uganda, Muhammad Hassan Wazir, met Deputy Speaker of Uganda’s Parliament, Thomas Tayebwa, on Friday. During the meeting, they discussed bilateral cooperation and the contribution of the Pakistani diaspora. “It was indeed my pleasure meeting your Rt. Hon. Thomas Tayebwa and discussing bilateral cooperation between our two countries,” the high commissioner expressed.
Expressing gratitude to Uganda for hosting the Pakistani diaspora, he highlighted the strong and friendly relations between Pakistan and Uganda. He expressed pride in Pakistanis for their investments in Uganda. Similarly, the Ugandan deputy speaker also shared remarks, stating that both sides emphasized inter-parliamentary relations.
The Pakistani envoy acknowledged Uganda’s exceptional hospitality and extended congratulations to Ugandan President Yoweri K Museveni on his new role as Chairman of NAM and G77 Plus China. He also commended Uganda for successfully hosting the two critical summits.
