Museveni Receives Prestigious ECAM Award for Humanitarian Works
President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni received the prestigious Social and Economic Commitment Award from the European Corporate Council on Africa and the Middle East (ECAM).
The award was presented today by Prime Minister Rt. Hon. Robinah Nabbanja at State House Entebbe.
Last week, Rt. Hon. Nabbanja accepted the award on behalf of President Museveni at the ECAM summit held in Rome, Italy.
She stated that President Museveni was honored for his remarkable contribution to humanitarian causes, particularly in refugee support and healthcare.
Expressing her pride, Rt. Hon. Nabbanja remarked, “European countries acknowledging our President’s contributions to our nation’s development fills us with pride.” She emphasized that the recognition of President Museveni’s humanitarian efforts reflects Uganda’s significant progress under his leadership.
Additionally, the Prime Minister highlighted the summit’s significance as a platform for discussing developmental initiatives in Africa, underscoring the continent’s potential as the next frontier for growth.
The two-day summit, themed “Creating a better present and building a better future together for Africa,” marked a milestone in fostering collaboration towards Africa’s advancement.
