Locals in Kireku Railway Zone, Bweyogerere Division, Kira Municipality, are still in shock following the death of a couple involved in a knife fight.
The incident involving the deceased Acen Jesca (29) and Ogwal Kenneth (28) happened on January 23, 2024, at Wakiso District. The couple was discovered by neighbors who realized blood seeping from a locked house they reside in.
According to Luke Owoyesigyire the Kampala Metropolitan police spokesperson, Waiswa Latif, the Defense Secretary, received distressing reports from vigilant residents and upon forcefully entering the residence, the lifeless bodies of the deceased were found lying cold, in a pool of blood.
He says police officers from Bweyogerere Police, visited the scene and obtained statements from neighbors, who disclosed that the victims were involved in a fight. At the crime scene, a knife, presumed to be the murder weapon, was recovered.
He explains that Acen bore multiple fresh wounds, particularly around her neck, while Ogwal had a cut around his neck.
Owoyesgyire further reveals that Ogwal could have killed his wife first during the altercation. He says the crime scene itself revealed signs of a violent struggle, with bloodstains notably evident on the mattress.
