Lukwago Outlines 2024 Agenda for FDC Katonga Sprinter Group
The interim President of the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) for the Katonga group and the Lord of Kampala, Erias Lukwago, emphasized that 2023 marked a year of ‘betrayal to the mission vision, and all Ugandans who cherish the FDC institution.’ Despite the challenges, he stated that party members stood resolute, resisting all manipulative efforts.
During a press conference at Katonga offices today, Lukwago conveyed that under his leadership, the FDC has embarked on the new leap year with renewed determination. Various activities are scheduled, beginning with a public engagement in Jinja on January 19th. He emphasized that the party won’t engage in verbal disputes with detractors and impostors, as pending matters will be addressed through the legal process.
Lukwago reiterated the FDC’s commitment to collaborate with other forces of change and stakeholders, dismissing propaganda and baseless allegations of a merger with the NUP. He emphasized that such claims aim to create division among forces of change.
He highlighted that, once again, the government missed an opportunity to showcase Uganda to the world during the upcoming NAM/G 77 conference. Lukwago urged that these summits should be utilized to discuss critical issues, particularly the challenges currently faced by the region.
