Woman Killed in Bar Fight: Police Investigate Three Alleged Lovers

Police are investigating the death of a woman named Bianca, who was killed in a bar in Janda zone, Namugongo, Kira Municipality, by three individuals purportedly involved romantically with her.

The incident occurred on Friday morning at about 2:00 am when the deceased was reportedly struck with a blunt object.

Luke Owoyesigyire, the Deputy Kampala Metropolitan Police Spokesperson, reveals that one Gido Joh, aka Johnnie, a South Sudanese national and an alleged boyfriend to Bianca and two other suspects at large had a heated physical altercation that ended with the deceased dying.

Johnnie, was apprehended and is currently detained at Kira Division Police.

Eye witnesses allege that Bianca was romantically involved with all the three who have been identified as Johnnie, Clement, and Bombom.

Trouble ensued when the trio met at Janda bar, all vying to leave with her. The situation escalated when they demanded to see her phone. Tempers flared, and she was hit on the head. All suspects swiftly fled the scene, leaving the bar operators with the victim’s body.

Police at Namugongo Catholic and Anglican Shrines cordoned off the crime scene and managed to arrest one suspect.

Police are urging the public to remain vigilant and share any pertinent information for the ongoing investigation and the arrest of the remaining suspects. Bianca’s body was taken to Mulago Hospital.
