Arsenal Fan Collapses, Dies Celebrating Arsenal, Chelsea Game

Locals in Omugo sub county, Terego district, are mourning the death of an Arsenal football fan identified as  Fostine Androdribo who collapsed and died while celebrating Arsenal’s equalizer against Chelsea in a Premier League match.

The game ended in a 2-2 draw, securing an important point for Arsenal.

Fostine Androdribo was watching the game at Galaxy Video Hall in Komendako Trading Centre. He got so excited during the match that he stood up, took off his shirt in celebration of Arsenal’s equalizing goal, and suddenly collapsed. Despite efforts to rush him for medical help, he was pronounced dead upon arrival at Omugo Health IV.

Androdribo had no known medical issues and had recently come to the village from his job as a security guard in Kampala to attend a relative’s funeral. The local community leader, Modesto Acidri, has urged residents to have regular medical check-ups to prevent such incidents.

The family has chosen not to conduct a post-mortem examination on Androdribo’s body. This is not the first time that a similar matter is happening in Uganda. Last month, an Arsenal fan in Sheema District was allegedly stabbed to death by a Manchester United fan after an Arsenal victory.
