Rachel Mwine Sheds Tears As She Bids Farewell To NTV Team
The 25th October 2018 would be her last TV appearance at the station as a news anchor. During the broadcast, the news anchor insisted that her departure was on good terms and that there was no bad blood between her and NTV.
The news anchor had earlier announced on her Facebook page that she was quitting the Serena hotel based TV station. As day follows night, she has finally called it a wrap to her seven-year term at the station. She had thanked all involved and sent out a special mention to her husband.
“Also, a ka special thanks you to omuntu wangye for being there and supporting me all the way, for boiling eggs for yourself for supper while I worked and waiting up for me every time. I start a new chapter, working with some of the brightest minds in tech and look forward to what the next seven years have in store.”

At the end of the 9:00pm news bulletin, a short tribute video was aired and Rachel Mwine became teary as she continued to thank all those who supported her and have been there for her through thick and thin. As part of the appreciation, some members of the NTV team came on and showered her with hugs and also gave her a bouquet of flowers.
However, our sources suggest that she will be joining the Kamwokya-based NBS Tv. If it comes to pass, she will be joining her former workmates who have over the years made the switch from NTV.
