Four Remanded to Luzira Prison Over the Murder of Nansana School Director in Lodge
Magistrate Irene Nambatya has remanded fours suspects to remanded in Luzira Prison until September 26, 2023, over the murder of a school Director at lodge in Nansana, Wakiso District.
They include; Shakirah Natukunda (23 years old)the main suspect, Moses Ssenyonjo (55)the lodge manager, Samuel Ssekajja a security guard at the lodge, and Wilber Katende a dealer in stolen phones, have been charged with the murder of Godwin Kansiime, in Nansana.
The incident took place at Nansana Inn where Kansiime, the owner of Victoria Secondary School, tragically lost his life.
During the investigation, Natukunda admitted to using Chloroform to incapacitate Kansiime and steal his belongings, including money. She met the deceased in a bar called Hollas Café and Lounge on September 02 and later left for Nansana inn lodge at 6:15 am the following morning.
Natukunda confessed to have carried out the crime, revealing she is part of a group of girls who target men.
She told police that on that fateful day she was together with the girls and identified Kansiime. After enjoying drinks, they went together to have fun at Nansana Inn where she drugged him and robbed him of everything including money and the phone.
Meanwhile, Natukunda told detectives that whereas she drugged and robbed Kansiime, she didn’t know he had died.
Kansima’s lifeless body was discovered by the the defence secretary for Nansomba village, Masuulita subcounty in Wakiso district who reported to Gobero police post a case of an unidentified body that was found dumped in a bush. The body was later taken to the city mortuary in Mulago as no one claimed it and later buried in Limbo.
His body was exhumed on September 21, 2023 after a DNA test confirmed it was him.
