Nakasongola District Schools’ Inspector Summons Absent Teachers for Explanations

Education authorities in Nakasongola District have called in several teachers to address concerns about their absence on the first day of the third term.

Sam Mbangire, the Nakasongola District Inspector of Schools, expressed his disappointment over reports of teachers missing classes on Monday and has asked them to explain themselves.

However,  at Kinoni Church of Uganda (CoU) Primary School in Kakooge Sub-County, Nakasongola, he learned from the head teacher that some teachers hadn’t shown up for work. He instructed the head teacher and other school leaders in the district to ensure that their staff are always present and doing their teaching duties.

Mbangire has sent written summonses to all the teachers who were absent, asking for their written explanations.

Nakasongola District has 144 Universal Primary Education (UPE) Schools in 15 sub-counties and town councils.
