TotalEnergies EP Uganda and Light for the World (LftW) have agreed to work together for two years to make sure that people with disabilities have equal opportunities for jobs and are not treated unfairly.
LftW is an organization that focuses on including people with disabilities in different aspects of life.
Under this agreement, LftW will help TotalEnergies EP Uganda create better ways to include people with disabilities in their company. They will also provide special training to TotalEnergies employees to help them understand and support people with disabilities.
This partnership is in line with the United Nations’ goals for making sure everyone is treated fairly and has a chance to work. TotalEnergies EP Uganda wants to make sure that they recognize the abilities of all their employees.
The General Manager of TotalEnergies EP Uganda, Phillipe GROUEIX, said that including and supporting employees with disabilities is an important part of their company’s values. They want to make sure their commitment to diversity is not just words, but something they practice.
The Country Director of LftW, Silvester KASOZI, explained that including people with disabilities in industries like the one TotalEnergies is in is not just about being diverse; it’s about doing what’s right.
