The Government has provided vehicles to transport medical personnel, teachers, and learners in Mubende District amidst 21 days lockdown instituted by the President    .

The Health Minister Dr. Jane Ruth Aceng said that the government deployed vehicles in line with the presidential directive that restricted the movement of public and private vehicles after Mubende and Kassanda districts were placed under a 21 days lockdown by President Museveni on Saturday.

Dr Aceng asked the people not to use any other private vehicles apart from those deployed by the government.

The minister made the remarks on Tuesday while touring Kirwanyi in Madudu sub-counties in Mubende District to establish how the authorities are implementing the presidential directives.

Dr. Aceng has said all schools and health facilities in Mubende shall also be given temperature guns as one of the mechanisms to detect signs of Ebola.

She said that the temperature gadgets shall be used to check every learner, teacher, and worker at the respective schools as well as test the temperature of all patients and people accessing health centers.

Dr. Aceng cautioned the communities to desist from conducting burials before informing the authorities saying that the before any burial, everybody shall be tested for Ebola to save the community.     She said that all the burials shall be conducted by the safe burial teams in the presence of all the people.
