Panic and shock gripped Members of Parliament when their colleague collapsed during a plenary as EALA candidates presented their manifestos on Thursday afternoon.
Bukimbiri County lawmaker, Eddie Kwizera, was then lifted by colleagues and taken into an ambulance to hospital.
The MPs are scheduled to choose nine representatives to go to East African Legislative Assembly (EALA) in Arusha, Tanzania.
This happened at a time Uganda has registered the outbreak of deadly Ebola virus which has already claimed 5 lives and 24 infected including six doctors in the neighbouring district of Mubende, 130kms from Kampala city.
