Bukedea District Woman MP Anita Annet Among has been elected Parliament Speaker, replacing Jacob Oulanyah who succumbed to cancer in a US hospital on Sunday.
The Bukedea Woman MP who has been Oulanyah’s deputy got 401 votes while the joint opposition candidate Asuman Basalirwa managed only 66 votes.
