Gen Muhoozi to Hold Another Meeting With President Kagame in Rwanda

The Senior Presidential Adviser for Special Operations and UPDF Commander of Land Forces Lt Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba is set to visit Kigali again.

Gen Kainerugaba revealed that after a long phone conversation with the Rwandan leader, the two agreed that the Ugandan General returns to Kigali for further engagement.

“After a long discussion with my uncle, President Kagame, this morning we have agreed that I return to Kigali in the coming days to sort out all outstanding issues between Uganda and Rwanda,” Gen Kainerugaba said in a tweet Monday evening.

This will be the second meeting between the two leaders in less than two months.

Gen Kainerugaba was in Kigali in January this year where he held talks with the Rwandan leader.

After the meeting, Some issues between the sister countries were partly solved.

For instance, the Katuna border in western Uganda was opened.

Citizens of both countries are eager to see the relations between the two countries fully normalized.
