751 Live Rounds of Ammunition Recovered In Amudat District Bush
A white sack containing 751 live rounds of ammunition was discovered abandoned in the bush in Amudat District by joint security forces.
The sack was found on Tuesday afternoon in Aukunyo village within Amudat town council.
Michael Longole, the spokesperson for the Mt Moroto Regional Police, says that a Prison Warder who was gathering firewood in the nearby bush, spotted the abandoned sack and promptly reported it to the police.
He stated that upon receiving the report, a joint security team swiftly cordoned off the area and retrieved the sack along with its contents.
Longole further mentioned that a police file has been intiated into the incident, and has urged anyone with pertinent information regarding the recovered ammunition to contact detectives in Amudat District.
