41 Suspected Criminals Arrested in Kajjansi Operations

Security operations conducted in Kajjansi have resulted in the arrest of at least 41 suspected criminals.

Police and other security agencies targeted areas such as Kawotto B, KKB cell, Kifene, Kijapan, and Nakigalala, following complaints from locals about road raids, access route ambushes, roadside muggings, and house robberies.

Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson Patrick Onyango stated that security personnel initially identified the hideouts of the suspected criminals.

According to Onyango, the operation was intelligence-led and was prompted by public concerns over increased burglaries and thefts. Some suspects were believed to frequent bars and betting centers, awaiting opportune moments to terrorize communities.

Among the apprehended suspects are Namanda Maiyi, Waswa Shafik, Ojangole Jerosome, Ikomo Nelson, Ndyamuhaki Jackson, Banyenzaki Gerald, Semambo Shafik, Muyuki Ali, Kamengu Wilberforce, Semambo Julius, Kyeyune Marvin, Kimuli Richard, Niwamanya Patrick, Watenga Issac, Lwanga James, Kimaswa James, Kiiza Henry, Senteza Christopher, and Kavuma Mujuni.

Additionally, individuals such as Dramadri Ahmed, Muhoozi Ambrose, Rehman Abdul, Sempijja Marvin, Kiraga Christopher, Musinguzi, Mulidya Leonan, Muyanja Derrick, Lukanga William, Okwil Ibrahim, Namiyinga Sylvia, Obuce Paul, Obuce Fredrick, Rocky Ivan, Razark Abdul, Lukeman Robert, Kalyango Meddy, Kiseka Henry, Kibambo Timothy, Nakazi Doreen, and Namutebi Jemimimah were identified as suspects.
