At every point when African countries are set to have elections, foreign security agencies such as CIA of US, Mossad of Israel, and MI6 of Britain conduct secret surveys to gauge the political mood in those respective countries. The survey outcomes are the basis for drafting their foreign policies.
The political hatchet between Hon. Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine and Col (rtd) Dr. Kizza Besigye is set to escalate after associates of United States security agency (Central Intelligence Agency – CIA) came up with a poll on July 18th, 2020, showing that Besigye is leading Bobi Wine in popular support ahead of the 2021 Presidential elections.
At every point when African countries are set to have elections, foreign security agencies such as CIA of US, Mossad of Israel, and MI6 of Britain conduct secret surveys to gauge the political mood in those respective countries. The survey outcomes are the basis for drafting their foreign policies.
In the case of Uganda, the US’s CIA follows the political developments closely because of its interests in Somalia, the Democratic Republic of Congo, South Sudan, Sudan, and the Central African Republic where Uganda is a key player. The CIA is thus concerned whether a new leader in Uganda would ably oversee their interests in the respective countries above.
