President Yoweri Museveni, the National Resistance Movement (NRM) presidential candidate, has been duly nominated to contest in the 2021 presidential election.

Museveni arrived for nomination in Kyambogo in the company of 10 people as stipulated by the Electoral Commission.

He was received by the EC chairperson, Justice Simon Byabakama.

On arrival, the team was taken through the nomination procedure, before Museveni’s documents were submitted for verification.

Mr Museveni made a few remarks before he left Kyambogo. The President said that the NRM is ready to continue securing Ugandans and their property.

He will later launch the NRM manifesto at a function in Munyonyo.
